Need to repair a couple holes in my neoprene waders. Waders are in excellent shape and should last some other couple of years, but I accept some small holes/cuts in need of repair. What agglutinative would you recommend for a patch?? Would you gum on another layer of neoprene over the patched hole?? I hate to throw these abroad. They are actually in good shape otherwise.

I've always been told to utilise the "Marine Epoxy" fabricated by Broth.

I use AquaSeal wader repair.
Very durable and flexible.

Definitely Aquaseal and don't employ another piece of neoprene. If the hole goes all the fashion through, just put a piece of duct tape on the back to keep the gum from oozing through to the inside. Once the glue is dried - remove the tape. I have a large aquaseal patch on a pair of angling waders that's x years old and even so going stiff. In fact, the patch is the all-time function of the waders at this point.

Try Permatex Blackness Prophylactic Sealant (P/N RS-9) for your small wader holes/leaks, this stuff works super good for repairing leaks in the wader stitching and checking/cracks in the wader boots. About $3 a tube at local auto parts stores. I would not consider using it for big holes or rips. This stuff works real good for repairing decoys. To repair kick holes and to strengthen areas that flex a lot try using radial tire patches/boots. It always helps to rough up the area to be patched on the boot offset with sandpaper. In the off season tightly stuff your waders with erstwhile newspaper to help retain the original shape, this helps to prevent cracking. I accept used these tips to ad a few more miles to my waders.

I would again use aquaseal. Only roughen upward the area to be repaired with a little sandpaper, reinforce the back of the tear with duct tape, and utilize a bead of aquaseal on the the exterior of tear. The repair will outlast the wader.

I got in a pinch a few seasons ago and needed to patch my waders and clasp "i more season" out of em. I used a hot glue gun and put the end of the gun correct down in the cutting from the inside. And then I worked the gun out filling the hole with the hot glue. I pressed the glue into the pores of the neoprine when I was done, and never had another leak. I've stretched 2 more seasons out of the same pair, and they're still going. I even patched a leaky seam the same mode. Works as adept, if not better than the aquaseal.
