How To Repair Plastic Vacuum Lines

prepare for brittle vacuum lines???

Anybody have a slick manner of re-doing all the manufacturing plant plastic vacuum lines? I have patched mine upward using small sections of safety line only I was wondering what anybody else was doing. It's pretty ridiculous working around those things...

Searched here and ebay and all the resto places to no avail.

Y'all can get replacement plastic lines at autozone in the help section.

84 Mustang GT, 91 roller motor,Gt40 heads, vic jr intake, quickfuel 650 carb, MSD ignition, TFS stage 1 cam, 3.73gears in 8.8, rear disc conversion, some nitrous.

stay away from the colored vac lines y'all encounter in the ricer section. they will collapse. friend put some on his vw and it took us a week to effigy out why it was running bad. it was the lines.

And get make proper name vacuum hoses and vacuum plugs.

The Assist brand vacuum plugs deteriated on me in less then a year.

Get Goodyear or Gates or some other OEM manufacturer.

I bought a mess of plastic lines from Pep Boys. I had a problem figuring out what size plastic vacuum line Ford used. I noticed Ford'southward plastic lines have a buldge where the prophylactic connector attaches to the plastic line. I'm hoping that buldge isn't critical.

Aren't the original plastic lines formed? Makes it moot to endeavor and get with the original look.

I could be wrong.

I know my SHO has formed lines.

And that aftermarket stuff won't concluding 10% equally long equally the original equipment line. You'll be redoing information technology in a yr.

The bulge is at that place to keep the connectors on.

So far, I've constitute formed rubber lines merely the plastic lines were straight shots. I knew near the bulge, only hoped they weren't hyper critical.

I noticed the '89-'93 Mustang plastic tubing and formed rubber hoses I've encountered in the wrecking yards were shot.

Perchance have to run modest steel lines (jk).
